CAI Welcomes New FTIR and Photoacoustic Division Applications Engineer

Orange, CA (August 24, 2011) - California Analytical Instruments, Inc. is proud to announce and welcome Jason Midyett, Ph.D., as the Company’s new Applications Engineer. Dr. Midyett will be responsible for product development and custom applications for the FTIR and Photoacoustic divisions, as well as being the liaison between our facility and our customers and sales representatives.
He joins the CAI team from Chapman University and the University of California, Irvine where he spent many years as Adjunct Faculty and as a Graduate Research Assistant within the Department of Chemistry. During his successful career he played crucial roles in compiling atmospheric gas inventories in NASA Global Tropospheric Experiments. He holds various awards and fellowships for excellence in academic achievement and research in analytical chemistry.
Dr. Midyett comes to us with 6 years of experience in trace gas analysis utilizing gas chromatographic multi-column and multi-detector techniques. He has 7 years of experience in collaborative interdisciplinary research and multiple experiment management. He also has a solid understanding of chemical analytical techniques and instrumentation.
